 | …というわけで、今回は1月31日に大阪で開催されたサイファ祭WESTと2月6日に東京で行われたサイファ祭EASTのレポートをお送りしちゃいまーす！ | …so, this time, we will be reporting on Cipherfest West, held in Osaka on 1/31, and Cipherfest East, held in Tokyo on 2/6! |

 | うむ、たしかに！それもこれも会場に来てくれた沢山のお客人のおかげだな！ | Aye, without a doubt! All thanks to all the attendees who showed up, of course! |
 | そうね！ 情報によると、WESTとEASTを合わせて、約2000人の方に来場して頂いたそうよ！ | Very true! According to the information we have, combining both West and East, we got something like 2000 attendees total. |
 | に、2000…！？ファイアーエムブレムや、サイファのファンの方にそんなにも集まってもらったのだと思うと胸が熱くなるな…！ | 2-2000...!? To think that many Fire Emblem and Cipher fans alike could gather in one place… it really lights a fire in my chest…! |
 | 大勢の方に楽しんで頂けて嬉しいわ。女性のお客様も大勢おられたわね。 | I’m happy so many people were able to have a good time. Quite a lot of those attendants were women, too. |
 | WESTとEASTの内容はだいたい同じ構成なので両方の様子を合わせてレポートしていきましょう。 | Both West and East had about the same contents, so let’s report on both of them together. |

| あちこちでスタッフが作業をしているわね。物販のエリアも準備で忙しそうよ。 | Staff are flitting about conducting various preparations. The sales area especially. |

 | かたい！ つよい！ うまい！ のアーマーナイトせんべいも出撃準備完了しているぞ！ | Tough! Strong! And delicious! The Armors’ Senbei unit is prepared to deploy as well! |
 | サイファにとって初めての大きなイベントだから、みんな、お客様をおもてなしする為に入念な準備をしていたわ。 | This is the first Cipher event of such a grand scale, so everyone was giving preparations their all to make it all hospitable for the guests. |

 | そんなこんなで準備を終えて、いよいよサイファ祭当日！会場に来て下さった、たくさんの人達の前でアクアさん役の声優Lynnさんや川出プロデューサー、異界の営業マン北西さんなどが開会のご挨拶をして、サイファ祭がスタートました！ | And once preparations were finished, finally, the fated day arrived! Miss Lynn–voice of Miss Azura–Producer Kawade, and the Northwest Regional Sales Director among others gave their opening remarks, and the festivities began! |
| いざ開始！ といったところだな。熱い一日の始まりだ！ | At long last! Or at least, that's how it felt. It was the beginning of what would be a lively day 1! |
 | 前回ご紹介したように会場では、様々な企画が行われていたわ。 | All of those events that I introduced last time were set to begin. |
| まずはイラストレーターさんのサイン会！コザキユースケさんに北千里さん、Daisuke Izukaさん、ワダサチコさん、クロサワテツさんに、まよさんと、そうそうたる顔ぶれだったんですよ！ | First was the Illustrator Signing! Mister Yusuke Kozaki, Miss Senri Kita, Mister Daisuke Izuka, Miss Sachiko Wada, Mister Tetsu Kurosawa, and Mister Mayo all made appearances! So many familiar faces! |

| サインをもらった方たちが、皆うれしそうな様子だったのが印象的だったわね。 | I was impressed by how many people were excited just for a signing. |
 | 発売中の英雄百歌でかるた遊びを楽しむことができる。「英雄百歌エリア」も、盛り上がっていたぞ。 | There was also the chance to play karuta using the 100 Songs of Heroes set in the fittingly-named 100 Songs of Heroes Area, which ended up being popular. |

| 回によっては、ニシキさんやフォレオさん役の声優、高橋勇太さんがなんと、生で読み札を読んでくださってました！ | For some games, Mister Yuta Takahashi–voice of Forrest and Kaden–even participated as the announcer! |
 | 白熱しつつも、和気あいあいとした雰囲気でかるたを楽しんで頂いていたな。 | What an intense atmosphere, and yet at the same time, it felt friendly. I hope everyone enjoyed playing karuta. |

| それからこちらは「撮影エリア」。ファイアーエムブレムのキャラクターになりきって、みなさんに写真撮影を楽しんで頂いたわ。 | Next up, the Photoshoot Area. Everyone had the chance to become a Fire Emblem character and take photos to their heart’s delight. |
| マルス殿や、アイク殿・クロム殿のマントを装備したり、神剣ラグネルや封剣ファルシオンなども持つことができた！やはり剣を持つと血が滾るな！ | Sir Marth, Sir Ike, and Sir Chrom’s capes were available to don, and props, like the sacred blade Ragnell and sealed Falchion were there to wield! No doubt, holding a blade makes one’s blood boil! |

| あ、川出Ｐが調子に乗って撮影しています！意外とファイアーエムブレムの世界に居る…っぽいかな？ | Ah, it looks like Producer Kawade is taking a photo here! He looks like he could be a Fire Emblem lord, doesn't he? |
| 他には、ファイアーエムブレムのことを「5・7・5」で綴る「歌詠みエリア」や、ファイアーエムブレムに対しての愛を書く「愛を語るエリア」なんてのもあったわね。 | I didn't mention it before, but there were also a Haiku Area and Love-Letter Area, where fans could compose haiku and write about their love for the Fire Emblem series. |

| 貼ってあった内容はどれも面白かったですー！それに、ファイアーエムブレムへの熱い思いがあふれてて見ていて嬉しくなっちゃいました！ | I had sooo much fun reading what everyone wrote! So many people had such passionate feelings about Fire Emblem! |
| ここまではサイファのファンに限らずファイアーエムブレムのファンなら、誰でも参加できる催しものばかりだな。来ると言っていたエマの友達殿も楽しめたのではないか？ | Everything mentioned hitherto have been events that not only Cipher Fans, but fans of Fire Emblem as a whole could participate in. Emma, did those friends you mentioned enjoy themselves? |
| はい！ とっても喜んで貰えたみたいです！それで…サイファにも興味を持ってもらえたみたいで…「サイファ体験エリア」でティーチャーさんからルールを教わってました！ | They did! They all seemed to have a really good time! They even started to get interested in Cipher too... So they learned the rules from the teachers at the Cipher Experience Area! |
| そういえば「サイファ体験エリア」の後で「女性限定エリア」で対戦しているのをみかけたわ。対戦は楽しかったの？ | Now that you mention it, I think I spotted them heading to the Girls-Only Area at some point. Did you have some good matches? |
| もちろん！！ | Of course!! |
 | あたしの…3連敗…でした… | I did… lose… all three times I played, though… |
 | あらあら…でも、楽しんで貰えたなら何よりね。 | Oh dear… well, if you had fun, then that’s what matters. |

| すでにサイファのルールを知ってる方へは思う存分対戦をして頂ける「フリー対戦エリア」をご用意していたわね。 | Those who already knew the rules, of course, could battle to their hearts’ content in the Free Play Area. |

| うわー、これみんな対戦してるんですよね！ここもすごい人です！ | Wooow, look at all the competition! So many people! |
| 皆、様々なデッキでプレイを楽しんでいたな。私も大いに対戦してきたぞ！ | And the variety in decks was without compare. I fought many battles too, as you can imagine! |
| ただの対戦ではつまらない・・・という方には「クエストバトルエリア」なんていうのもご用意していたわ。前にも少し紹介したけれど、“オーブ3個から開始”や“主人公2人でプレイ”など、ちょっと変わったルールで対戦を楽しめたのよ。 | Those looking for something a little more interesting had the Quest Battle Area. As we mentioned before, battles here had slight modifications to the original ruleset; things like “you start with just 3 orbs” or “you have two lords”. |
| 私は、“ユニット名の前に必ず「かわいい」を付ける”というクエストが気に入りました！「かわいいマルスで、かわいいジェイガンを攻撃します！」とか。 | I liked the rule where you had to call all your units "cute" whenever you were talking about them! It was funny, you ended up saying things like "I'm gonna attack your Cutie Jeigan with my Cutie Marth!" |
| か・・・かわいいのは、よいな。うむ！ 実によい！ | That... aye, that sounds like a fine rule indeed! |
 | だが、かわいい戦いばかりではないぞ！今回のイベントの目玉はなんといってもサイファの全国大会！WESTでは大阪地区予選…EASTでは全国一を決める決勝戦が行われたのだ！ | But it wasn't all fun and games! No, the highlight of the event was the national tournament! The regional qualifiers took place at West… and the final showdown, at East! |

| 全国の予選を勝ち抜いた者同士の頂上決戦！優勝者…すなわち日本一は誰か？熱すぎる戦いが繰り広げられていたぞ！ | The final matches between those who made it through the qualifiers! The victor… that is to say, Japan’s best… who would emerge on top? The battles to decide were legendary! |
 | 息詰まる熱戦につぐ熱戦！…ギャラリーの皆さんも真剣に試合の様子をご覧になってましたー！ | Battle after fierce battle! Everyone in the gallery was watching with intent! |
| 開会の挨拶が行われたステージでも、いろいろなイベントが行われたわ。こちらは、ファイアーエムブレムシリーズのサウンドスタッフである森下さんと金﨑さんによるミニコンサート。やはり生で聞くサウンドは一味違うわね！ | That tournament wasn't all the stage was used for—the sound staff’s very own Morishita and Kanazaki performed a Mini Concert. It really is different hearing it live! |

| このお二方、EASTの午後のステージでユニット名を「ソシアルナイツ」とすることを発表していたな。実にファイアーエムブレムらしい、いいユニット名だ！ | And at East, they announced they were officially forming their own musical troupe! "The Cavalier Duo"! Very Fire Emblem-esque. A fitting title! |
| 2人組の騎士と言えばおなじみの赤と緑のカラーのネクタイもLynnさんからプレゼントされてましたね。次回から着けてくれるの…かな？ | Speaking of which, Miss Lynn even gave them ties in those familiar red and green colors as a present. I wonder if they might wear them next time they perform...? |
| なんでも、このユニット名はサイファ祭の前日に考えたそうよ。けっこうギリギリに決まっているのね… | You know, I heard that they didn’t even come up with the name until the day before the event. Right in the nick of time, one could say… |

| おお、これは「プロデューサーバトル」！川出プロデューサーと、英雄百歌コーナーでも活躍頂いた声優の高橋殿とのカード勝負だな！ | Ohh, this must be the Producer Battle! The match between Producer Kawade and Sir Takahashi—who also partook in the 100 Songs of Heroes games himself! |
| 高橋さんは、自分が役を演じた「ニシキ」を主人公にしてたわ。そして川出Ｐが出した主人公は、なんと… | Mr. Takahashi fittingly selected Kaden as his lord. And Producer Kawade’s lord was… |

 | まさかの第４弾のカード「蒼井 樹」！未発売のカードにお目にかかれて興奮したぞ！ | No! Itsuki Aoi from series 4?! How exciting to witness an as-of-yet unreleased card! |
| プロデューサー権限で発売前のカードをデッキに入れてきたそうです。大人ってズルいですー！ | Putting unreleased cards in your deck just because you made the game... adults are so sly! |
| しかし、高橋殿は強かった！WESTでの対戦では高橋殿が勝利！EASTでは川出プロデューサーは絶対負けられない戦いであったな。 | But Sir Takahashi was a worthy foe! The match at West ended in Sir Takahashi’s victory! I heard that Producer Kawade went into the match at East feeling like he couldn't afford to lose a second time... |
| これで負けたら第４弾の売上に影響するかも…と、川出Ｐはかなりプレッシャーを感じていたようよ。 | After all, if he did, people might not buy series 4. It put Producer Kawade under a lot of pressure! |
| お、大人って大変ですー！ | Wow... nevermind, being an adult seems rough! |
 | 結果、EASTでは見事、川出プロデューサーの勝利！どちらが勝ってもおかしくない名勝負であった！ | However... at East, Producer Kawade claimed his victory! It was an even match from start to finish! |
| それからニコニコ生放送でおなじみの「ちゃぶ台トーク」のサイファ祭出張版も行われたわ。恒例のブースターパックの開封や、先程の高橋さんやサイン会の合間に駆けつけたコザキユースケさんの飛び入りなんかもあって、かなりの盛り上がりだったわ。 | Afterwards, there was a business-trip version of the familiar “Teatime Talk” that frequently features on the Niconico Livestreams. It was exciting, what with the usual booster-pack-opening, and with Yusuke Kozaki and Takahashi joining in after they were done with their signings. |

| Lynn殿と高橋殿が演じた、アクア殿とニシキ殿の生支援会話は実によかったな。目を閉じると、そこにアクア殿とニシキ殿がいるように感じた… | Sir Takahashi and Lady Lynn performed a support conversation between Sir Kaden and Lady Azura live! How wonderful! It was like the characters were really there... |

| みんなの前でアクアさんを演じて照れるLynnさんがかわいかったですー！ | Miss Lynn was so shy about performing as Azura in front of everyone, it was sooo cute! |
| そして、閉会式では日本一決定戦の優勝者が発表されたわ。優勝はクボさん！ おめでとうございます！ | And at the closing ceremony, the winner of the tournament was announced. Congratulations to the victor, Kubo! |

| 写真、右から3番目の方がクボさんだな…こ、この方が日本一！ 猛者の中の猛者、最高の武人に決定した！サイファの歴史に刻まれる、この記念すべき日に立ち会えてうれしく思うぞ！ | Kubo is third from the right in this photo… So this is Japan's best! A warrior among warriors! It was an honor to witness such a significant day in Cipher history! |
| そして、出演者一同が挨拶をしてサイファ祭は終了！ | And with that, all of those who performed gave their regards, and it was time for closing remarks! |
| 閉会式では、ステージ前の人たち全員参加のジャンケン大会もやりましたねー！ | There was a rock-paper-scissors tournament. Everyone gathered in front of the stage got to participate! |

| ジャンケンに勝ち残った人には、出演者全員のサインが書かれたサイファ祭ポスターがプレゼントされたな。 | The winner received a poster signed by everyone who performed at the event. |
| あたし超ほしかったのに、2回目のジャンケンで負けちゃいましたー！ | I reeeally wanted it, but I lost in my second match! |
| あなた、トコトン勝負に弱いわね。 | Wow, from tip to tail, you’re bad at any kind of competition, aren’t you? |
| さすがエマ！私など1回目で負けてしまった…不覚！ | How skilled of you, Emma! As for myself, I lost in my very first match… a complete failure! |
| あら…ユズってこういうのには弱いのね。 | Oho... so this is Yuzu's weak point. |
| なにはともあれ、大満足なサイファ祭であった。 | Well, regardless of all that, it was a satisfying Cipherfest. |
 | もう終わりなんですか？残念です！ もっとお祭りがしたいですー！ | Is it really over already? Awww! I want another one already! |
| そうね。みなさんの声が大きければ、またこんなお祭りが開けるかもしれないわね。でも、今回はここまで！ | I agree. Well, if there's enough demand, perhaps there will be another one. But for now, things come to a close! |
