THE BEE'S MEMES

Hi! I'm Cecil, and welcome to my website!

This is a website I made for fun that I'd like to use to host my various pursuits. Since this is all for fun, it probably won't be updated on any sort of regular schedule--just whenever I get around to it.

Included in these pursuits is my translation work, which prior to now, I have not had a real good centralized place to host. I majored in Japanese Studies, and studying the language was a major part of that schooling--now that I am no longer in Japan and don't have easy access to regular exposure, translating is one of the ways that I try to keep on my toes. Currently, I have two major ongoing translation projects: Cipher Frontier and Cocoro Session.

Cipher Frontier was a regular news column focused on the Fire Emblem Cipher card game. It updated regularly over the course of the card game's release, and included information on new set releases, official events, deck building guides, and so forth. Notably, it was all written in-character as the characters original to the card game. The card game never got an official English release, nor did Cipher Frontier, and my translation of it is meant as an act both of accessibility and preservation. I hold this game and everything associated with it near and dear to me.

Cocoro Session is a Japanese Tabletop RPG that is most fun to describe as "you are a warlock and your patron god is Hatsune Miku". It takes place in the modern day, you ward off creatures that prey on humans using the powers granted to you by a Vocaloid of your choice. I love Vocaloid and I love Tabletop RPGs, so when I saw this in Japan, it was a must-buy and must-translate. God knows I will run it someday.

I also make Tabletop RPGs with my wife under the group name Nat Twentea! I run a lot of games too, and I like posting all the resources I make and gather, so I have a page to collect all of that. Additionally, I don't work on it as often anymore, but I like the free vocal synth program UTAU, and have a couple UTAU voicebanks. They get updated once in a blue moon. I make like one new cover every 3 or 4 years. Had I the time to do it more...

Thanks for checking this all out--see you around~
